LEON HARRIS, CNN CORRESPONDENT: Let's go right now to our Jeanne Meserve, who's standing by in Washington. She's going to give us some more information on that bit of news we just got about this April 18 meeting -- Jeanne, can you clarify that for us?
JEANNE MESERVE, CNN CORRESPONDENT: Just to tell you, Leon, that Elise Labott, who was our producer over at the State Department, is reporting now that that April 18 meeting will be held in Beijing. This is the meeting at which U.S. and Chinese authorities will be exploring the causes of the accident, what happens to the EP-3 still on the ground in China and also potentially ways to prevent a similar incident happening in the future.
Initially, there had been talk that this meeting might take place in San Francisco. The Chinese wanted it in Beijing. According to press reports, the U.S. was going to make a counter offer that it be in Guam and Hawaii, but the news today from the State Department that meeting will take place on April 18, but it will be in Beijing in China -- Leon, back to you.
HARRIS: Understood. Thanks much, Jeanne Meserve, reporting live from Washington -- Daryn.
