Police Officer Shot While Chasing Bank Robber

STEVEN FRAZIER, CNN ANCHOR: New information now and some new pictures from that situation we just told you about in Tampa, Florida. The police have moved in some kind of an antipersonnel armored carrier there. We can see in these pictures, which are coming to us from affiliate WFLA, also heavily armored police officers from their quick response team.

They are responding to an apartment complex in which a bank robber is believed to be hiding, following an exchange of gunfire with one officer who was chasing him. The officer now has been taken to the hospital. We don't know about much about his injuries, but we do know that witnesses say they heard a flurry of gunfire. Tampa, Florida.
