BILL HEMMER, CNN ANCHOR: To Modesto, California: the Levys and their attorney now speaking there in California.

(JOINED IN PROGRESS)

BILLY MARTIN, LEVY FAMILY ATTORNEY: ... a meeting with the FBI. Our investigators continue to meet with the FBI and the D.C. police as they pursue their investigation. And Dr. and Mrs. Levy would like to take a moment to say something to the public.

ROBERT LEVY, CHANDRA LEVY'S FATHER: Well, we're grateful for your support. You know, we -- we still hope and pray that Chandra will be found alive and will be returned to us. If anyone has any information about where she may be or what might have happened, please contact the authorities. We're really -- we appreciate your help and prayers.

QUESTION: Anything new in the investigation we should be aware of today?

MARTIN: There are -- we continue to receive numerous leads. As you know, we've -- we've had an 800 number since mid-June. That number is 1-800-860-6552. And we have received nearly 2,000 phone calls on that number and on our e-mail address of Levy, L-E-V-Y, @dejlaw.com. We have a lot of leads we're still pursuing, and I'm going to update Dr. and Mrs. Levy today on those leads.

And we think that somebody out there in the public knows something, and we beg that that person or those persons please come forward. You can see the grief and the pain that these -- the parents are going through, and we ask anybody with information to please provide us that information to us.

QUESTION: Mr. Martin, Congressman Condit is in Northern California. We don't know where he is. If he is watching you right now, what would you say to him?

MARTIN: We would say to Congressman Condit, again, we make no accusations against you. We believe that you have information that the family would like to know. We'd like you to meet with our investigators so that our investigators have direct information on Chandra's state of mind at the time that she disappeared. And we'd like you to come forward, give us all the information so that this family knows that if Congressman Condit is not a suspect, we can close that door and move forward.

QUESTION: Does that mean that you -- you don't believe at this point he's been forthcoming?

MARTIN: He's not yet agreed to meet with me or my investigators directly, so we don't know what he said to either the D.C. Police or the FBI. But I know that my trained investigators would like to sit down, look Congressman Condit in the eye, and ask him several questions. And we believe that would help our investigation as we go forward.

Thank you.

SUSAN LEVY, CHANDRA LEVY'S MOTHER: Thank you.

HEMMER: On day 100, attorney Billy Martin with the Levys there in Modesto, California, with a direct appeal to Congressman Gary Condit, saying they believe he may have information as to the disappearance of the former intern: again disappearing on the 30th of April. Police say the last contact that they know that she may have had is on the first of May. Again 100 days from today.
