DARYN KAGAN, CNN ANCHOR: We want to go ahead and update our viewers on the breaking news situation we have been following out of Massachusetts, and that's this truck accident that took place on the Massachusetts Turnpike. A trucker was trapped inside of that cab. He has been freed from the cab, and you see the firemen working around him, now putting him on the stretcher, strapping him to the stretcher there.
Earlier reports we got from the wire services was that the trucker was not injured. Hard to believe...

LEON HARRIS, CNN ANCHOR: Yes.

KAGAN: ... that you could go through an accident like that and be trapped inside of the cab and not be hurt. We don't know if there are severe injuries, or indeed, they're just doing this as a precaution and everything...

HARRIS: Exactly.

KAGAN: ... that he has been through. But in addition to the trucker situation, there has been a traffic situation on the turnpike. This has been going on since about 9:50 this morning, almost two hours.

And the truck was carrying latex paint. It doesn't look like it spilled too badly over the highway there.

HARRIS: I'm going to guess that the wires might be considering rephrasing it...

KAGAN: A little ahead of themselves by calling it...

HARRIS: Yes, they might want to rephrase that...

KAGAN: Yes.

HARRIS: ... to saying that he was definitely not killed in the crash.

KAGAN: Right.

HARRIS: However, and you see the way that he was strapped down and the way they were handling him very gingerly, and we sat here and watched while we were doing some other coverage, it took them a good four or five minutes or so once they did get to him to strap him down. And it wouldn't take that long... KAGAN: Right.

HARRIS: ... if it was someone who could move by himself.

KAGAN: Right. The other thing, too, is if you saw the (UNINTELLIGIBLE) the accident, the truck straddled almost equally on either side of the highway.

HARRIS: Yes.

KAGAN: That's another reason why it is caused such a big traffic mess in Massachusetts.

HARRIS: Yes, the truck is trashed, no question about that.

KAGAN: Westboro, Massachusetts.
