KRIS OSBORN, CNN ANCHOR: I'm Kris Osborn here at the CNN Center in Atlanta. There are several breaking developments in the ongoing investigation into the disappearance of Ashley Pond and Miranda Gaddis. FBI special agent in charge Charlie Matthews (ph) just announced several significant developments, the first being a second set of remains have indeed been recovered outside the home of Ward Weaver. And secondly, the authorities also announced that indeed the remains found yesterday in a shed in the same location outside the home of Ward Weaver in Oregon City are those of Miranda Gaddis -- of course, raising the possibility that this recent second set of remains uncovered this afternoon, according to authorities, could in fact, be those of Ashley Pond.
There are a number of people on the scene expressing a high degree of emotion, of course. The state -- the Oregon State Medical Office has confirmed that yesterday's remains are, in fact, those of Miranda Gaddis. We will continue to follow this situation as it unfolds; the headlines being, number one, a second set of remains has been found, and initially -- the second -- yesterday's remains are those of Miranda Gaddis. Stay with CNN for more coverage of this.
