PHILLIPS: All right. Now, we're going to take you live to Montgomery County, Maryland, with more on the five people shot dead within the last 15 hours. Let's listen in.
CAPT. NANCY DEMME, MONTGOMERY COUNTY POLICE: ...We have called in other resources. We have members of the Secret Service, FBI, Maryland state police, Prince George's County -- they're actually up with their helicopter. Members of Maryland Metropolitan Police Department and the state's attorney office actually here with us as well.
In terms of -- just to put some moms at ease, in terms of the schools, Chief Moose has been in consultation with Superintendent Weast (ph). They will be announcing how the schools will be released shortly.
There have been no more incidents, just the ones that we spoke about earlier. We are -- when the schools are released, we will have patrols -- actual police presence -- at all of the release locations. Not because there are any threats to the schools; we do want to make sure our kids are safe when they're released.
I know that you have other questions. I'll do what I can to answer them at this point, but you have to be aware that it is ongoing and we have numerous resources doing everything we can to find out who's responsible.
QUESTION: What about the ballistics test? Have you been able to determine if the same gun was used in each one of the murders?
DEMME: Actually, we're still awaiting all of our forensics, at all five locations.
QUESTION: Can you go through each murder?
QUESTION: Can you give us anything on the weaponry at all? Was it a high-caliber bullet in...
DEMME: No. All victims still need to be autopsied. We don't have those results either.
QUESTION: Can you go through each of the murders for us?
DEMME: Very quickly, I'll do that. Bear with me one moment.
This morning at -- excuse me, let's start with Wednesday. Unfortunately, Wednesday night at 5:20 p.m., 3800 Aspen Hill Road, the Michaels Craft Store, there was a shot through the window. No one was hit in that incident, but we do believe that it may be related. No injuries.
At 6:04 p.m., there was a shooting at 2200 Randolph Road, Shoppers Food Warehouse, directly across from the Wheaton station. Officers actually heard those shots -- excuse me -- let me correct that -- heard the shot, ran across the street, found the victim on the pavement, attempted CPR, unsuccessful. Fire-rescue attempted to resuscitate, also unsuccessful.
No suspects, no motives to date.
Thursday morning, this morning, at about 7:41 a.m. at 11411 Rockville Pike, near White Flint Mall...
PHILLIPS: We're now breaking away from the breaking news we were telling you out of Montgomery County, Massachusetts (sic) to the United Nations.
