AP: Stewart to Step Down From OmniMedia

ANDERSON COOPER, CNN ANCHOR: We have some breaking news to bring to you. According to the Associated Press, Martha Stewart is going to step down as chairman, chief executive of Martha Stewart Living OmniMedia Incorporated. The Associated Press is quoting the company.
Yesterday Martha Stewart had indicated she would not be stepping down. She of course today indicted, nine counts related to the sale of stock in the biotechnology firm ImClone. She of course denies any wrongdoing. She is also charged with conspiracy to obstruct justice, making false statement, committing perjury and obstruction of justice and securities fraud. She's also facing civil charges from the FCC on insider trading.

So, the news right now, according to the Associated Press, Martha Stewart is going to step down as the chairman, chief executive of Martha Stewart Living OmniMedia Incorporated. We'll have more news on this as it comes in.
