MILES O'BRIEN, CNN ANCHOR: Information continues to dribble in, details on exactly what might have happened in the northern Iraqi city of Mosul, Kurdish-controlled country, some 200 miles to the northeast of Baghdad. We have this just in from a witness, an eyewitness to the operation, conducted by troops to the U.S. 101st Airborne Division. He's a reporter from the Al Jazeera television network.
Let's listen to what he has to say.
(BEGIN VIDEOTAPE)
UNIDENTIFIED REPORTER (through translator): At 9:00 a.m. this morning, we came back from the gas station, where we were receiving some gas. We heard that the house of Shaikh Mohammed Al Zadan (ph) was attacked. So the Americans came to his house and started shooting. They were saying that Saddam's sons, Uday and Qusay, and his grandson, Mustafah, were there, and they said one of his bodyguards were there, too. The neighbors said that Abu Isen (ph) told them so.
(END VIDEO CLIP)
O'BRIEN: All right, just one more little piece of information there, an eyewitness who claims he saw some things in front of that house that was the target of the long firefight involving the 101st Airborne Division. Unclear still exactly if, in fact, Uday and Qusay Hussein were killed in all that. We're waiting for word on that.
