British Soldier Dead, Two Wounded in Basra Bombing

WOLF BLITZER, CNN ANCHOR: CNN has confirmed -- as we see the president getting ready to leave Texas to fly to California -- a British soldier was killed, two others were wounded today, with an improvised explosive device that went off as their ambulance passed by the southern Iraqi city of Basra -- Basra, the southern part of Iraq. That's where British troops are predominantly in control.
The three were driving -- according to our British sources, the three were driving on the outskirts of the town when the incident occurred. One British soldier dead, two others wounded, in this latest incident.

We'll continue to watch that as well.
