DON LEMON, CNN HOST: Okay. I'm totally going to show --

CABRERA: Whew!

LEMON: -- my age here because that is definitely my speed. I love, love, love "The Doobie Brothers." I love every single song that they sang there and that they sing -- I loved Michael McDonald. His voice still sounds amazing. The band is great. So, there you go, Ana Cabrera. I'm -- you know, aging out of the demo right now. I love "The Doobie Brothers." Fantastic.

CABRERA: Well, these guys have been together for 50 years. So, this is their 50th anniversary tour they're doing this year, Don, although they haven't actually been on tour for 25 years. So, you're right, you are looking really old right now, but I loved it, too. I'm so impressed with their talent.

(LAUGHTER)

CABRERA: And they can rock. No doubt about it.

(LAUGHTER)

LEMON: Amen. I love them.

CABRERA: All right. I'm back here in Nashville --

LEMON: Hey, there's nothing wrong with 50 years.

CABRERA: You know what? Some music lasts the test of time, and they are proof of that.

[23:15:02]

Look at what's happening in Houston right now. Houston, Texas. This is going to be our next stop for fireworks as CNN's "Fourth in America" continues. Also coming up, we have music from "Third Eye Blind," Gloria Estefan, and "T-Pain." Don't go anywhere.

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

CABRERA: We are looking ahead to another big fireworks show at the historic "Rose Bowl" in Pasadena, California. Looks like a beautiful night there. And we're expecting one of the biggest fireworks celebrations there on the West Coast. But right now, performing at Milwaukee's Summerfest, it's "Third Eye Blind."

LEMON: You know, it's time now for a truly Texas-size fireworks show. The annual freedom over Texas display is spread out over 50 acres in Houston. That is huge.

I want to welcome Sara Sidner, who is in San Diego. Hi, Sara.

SARA SIDNER, CNN NATIONAL CORRESPONDENT: Hey, Don. It's beautiful so far. We're waiting for another huge fireworks show that's about to take place here. We've seen the barges heading out. We know that there are several of them. They're going to blow off the most amazing, technically perfect fireworks. We have a great waterfront view when the sky lights up for you.

But first, I know I'm going to be dancing, and I can bet that Don Lemon is going to be dancing any minute because here is Gloria Estefan performing in Miami.

(GLORIA ESTEFAN PERFORMANCE)

[23:40:00]

(GLORIA ESTEFAN PERFORMANCE)

GLORIA ESTEFAN, SINGER: Hey, everyone, we hope you like that song celebrating the wonderful things that this country has afforded so many of us. But we've been through some times and what does America do when we have tough times? We rally. And you know who has rallied the most? Our youth that keeps saying we are here and we are moving forward.

I want to thank the students from Miami Arts Studio, the choir, the band, the dancers that are going to join me on this song. And you know what we do? We get on our feet, America. Happy fourth of July!

(GLORIA ESTEFAN PERFORMANCE)

SIDNER: The songs of my life as a Miami girl. Gloria Estefan's music is so uplifting and wonderful. She's also currently starring in HBO Max's "Father of the Bride."

Now, look at the mile-high city. We're going to Denver next for its fireworks, then back here to California as our fourth of July coverage continues. Plus, music from "T-Pain," it's gonna be poppin, and AJR and the one and only Willie Nelson.

And here in San Diego, the big bay boom fireworks celebration is coming up as well. We're also getting ready for music from AJR, Willie Nelson, and "The Lumineers." All that great music and beautiful scene is ahead.

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

CABRERA: This is "The Fourth in America" and it is the West Coast's turn to celebrate. Check out the scene at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, where fireworks begin very soon. We are giving you a front row seat tonight to the best live shows and the hottest music on this Independence Day, including a performance by rock legend Santana. That is still ahead tonight.

I'm Ana Cabrera in Nashville. Thank you so much for joining us here on CNN. I'm joined by my colleague and friend, Sara Sidner, in San Diego tonight. And Sara, it is a night to celebrate, but it has also been a night of mixed emotions.

SIDNER: It's true. You know, like so many Americans, we are mourning the latest shooting tragedy. People just going to a fourth of July parade in Illinois and end up having to mourn their family members. I truly, truly pray for them and hope that they can find some peace.

But tonight, this nation is doing its best to come together, to honor the founding of the country. Right now, there is so much happening. Look at that. Here, that's San Diego that you're seeing there. So much happening in all of California on America's birthday, including the fireworks that you there seeing going off over the bay.

[23:59:58]

And let's take you to San Francisco, from the popular Pier 39. We're bringing you fireworks from the city by the bay and across the entire state.
