World leaders gather in Germany for the G7 Global Summit; Boris Johnson Speaks How He Felt Of the Supreme Court Decision To Overturn Roe V Wade; Nations Around The World Experiencing Inflation Due To The War On Ukraine. Aired 12-12:05p ET

JAKE TAPPER, CNN HOST: Hello I'm Jake Tapper live in Krun, Germany at the site of the G7 Global Summit, where President Biden just called for the world's democracies to ban together to face rising challenges. Coming up I'll speak exclusively with Secretary of State Antony Blinken, as well as British Prime Minister Boris Johnson who just survived a no confidence vote back at home, and is trying to ensure that no on in the G7 goes wobbly on Ukraine.
But let's begin with Chief White House Correspondent, Kaitlan Collins. Kaitlan, the G7 leaders are facing entirely new challenges then when they met last year.
KAITLAN COLLINS, CHIEF WHITE HOUSE CORRESPONDENT: Yes, Jake it's a completely different set of subjects that they are facing and obviously you just heard the president speaking about China, that is also something that the White House wants to make sure is known that is on the agenda while these leaders are meeting here in Germany but also really the table for this summit is being set by Russian's invasion of Ukraine and the ensuing war and how these G7 nation's are responding to it.
In part, you saw that announcement from the United States and other G7 leaders, saying that they are going to be banning Russian imports, Russian gold; that's a pretty big deal, especially when it comes to the United Kingdom, Jake, which takes in billions of dollars in Russian gold each year. Now they will no longer be doing so, as they are working to try to financially isolate Putin and his economy in a response, in retaliation for this Russian invasion of Ukraine that they have been dealing with. And really Jake, which is dominating almost every single conversation that these world leaders are having here.
Even as those Russian strikes on Kyiv, something that has not happened in several weeks happened, seeming to be a message from the Russian leader as these G7 leaders are gathering Jake. And one big thing that they are talking about here is also is making sure they are managing dependence on Russian energy. Obviously, something that they've been trying to change but also dealing with problems at home. A lot of these nations are experiencing inflation and high prices and part of that is of course because of the ban of Russian oil. And they've been dealing with energy price spikes ever since that happened.
And so trying to manage that, trying to punish Putin while also trying to manage their own economies at home Jake. And one thing that we are told by officials, there's going to be a discussion while these G7 leaders are meeting behind closed doors is the G20. Obviously Russia is part of that, Putin is still invited. There is still likely a chance that he shows up at that summit that's happening just a few months from now. And so they'll also be talking about not only their meetings right now, what they are doing in the immediate future but also how they're going to handle coming face to face potentially with Putin at that summit Jake.
TAPPER: All right, Kaitlan Collins thanks so much. One domestic American issue that has broken through even here in Germany, the seismic societal of people in the U.S. after the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade on Friday in abortion, immediately became illegal for millions of American women and girls depending on where they leave - depending on where they live.
I want to begin there with one of the most prominent Democrats on the ballot this year running in Georgia where women are likely to have just a few weeks more to get an abortion if they want one after the state asked in appeals court to allow a so called "heart beat abortion ban" to go into effect.
